A Dose of Dinner Theatre
Get a dose of intrigue with murder mystery dinner theater the first Friday of each month. As the train rolls along, you’ll meet a cast of quirky characters who will draw you into their drama as they squabble, scheme and, ultimately, kill each other. We’ll be counting on your sleuthing skills to solve the case while you dine!
September 6ths adventure will be our steampunk themed 'Night of the Iron Rail Assassin'. On October 4th, our murder mystery train turns to our western themed 'Murder on the Dusty Trail.' And our final Murder Mystery Train for 2019 will be our 1920's themed 'Champagne Bubbles and Dangerous Dames' on November 9th.
The Murder Mystery Train is for guests 13 and over only, and riders are welcome to investigate their own closets beforehand for era-appropriate attire. Storylines change each month, so please review specific event dates for information about what mystery needs to be solved and what costume you may want to wear!
The price of your Murder Mystery Train ticket includes a scenic 2.5-hour trip and a three-course American fare dinner with unlimited coffee and soft drinks, as well as an interactive whodunit show.
All seating is pre-assigned. If you would like to be seated with another party, please note it in the ‘additional notes’ section at check out or by calling our reservations number 800-866-1690. Requests must be made at least 48 hours prior to your desired trip.

Can I request to be seated with another guest?
Yes! Include the name of the party you would like to be seated with in the ‘Additional Notes’ section while completing your ticket order, or call our reservations number atto make your request.
Can I add a bottle of wine to my reservation?
Absolutely, you have the option to add a bottle of wine to your order at checkout. You can specify which wine you would like, red, white, or sparkling, in the ‘Additional Notes’ section before completing your order. Wine ordered in advance will be waiting at your table for you when you arrive.
Join the Fun Aboard the Murder Mystery
It's 1925 right in the middle of decadence, flamboyance, and the flow of alcohol. One of San Francisco's famous socialites has passed away and you arrive on the train for the Reading of her multi-million dollar Will. Don't be discouraged if you're name isn't on the list of recipients - those who are may get more than they bargained for before the train arrives safely back. There's more to champagne than just bubbles.
After the discovery of Gold in California, thousands of men prospectors set out to find their share leaving behind their families. Some returned home desolate and broke. Some returned home satisfied with their findings. And then there were those who never went back for one reason or another, including starting a new life with their newfound wealth. But that new life didn't always work out the way they thought. Sometimes the past catches up at the most inopportune times.
The year is 1885. The Industrial Revolution is fast becoming a period in which people from all races and parts of the world are taking an interest in inventions of an extreme nature. Not every invention is used for the betterment of mankind however. Some are specifically meant for harm with a high price tag. What reasons contribute to the performance of murder?
