| Directions to our Boarding Areas
Pleae note, we have 3 different boarding locations so it is important to go to the correct location for your trip.
- West Sacramento
- Woodland
- Woodland - old site
West Sacramento Boarding
Starting in 2012, we will begin boarding guests in West Sacramento at 400 North Harbor Blvd in West Sacramento 95605.
From Sacramento / East):
- Take I-80 (Business) / Interstate 50 west toward West Sacramento & San Francisco.
- Take Harbor Blvd exit (exit 1B).
- Take a right onto Harbor Blvd (heading northward!). You should pass W. Capital within ¼ mile – you are on target and still have 2 miles to go. Note, you turned the wrong way on Harbor if you drive into the West Sacramento Port.
- At Reed, Harbor turns into North Harbor and veers slightly left.
- You will drive over our railroad tracks and come to a small stop sign. Continue straight.
- You will approach the very tall I-80 Highway overpass. We are practically underneath the overpass. Take an immediate left into parking lot at Bryte Bend Water Treatment Plant.
- After 30 yards, turn right into the parking lot.
From South (Stockton, Modesto, Tracy):
- Travel north on either 99 or I-5.
- In downtown Sacramento, take I-80 West toward West Sacramento & San Francisco. Follow "From Sacramento Directions".
From the North (Redding, Woodland, Sacramento Airport, Natomas) :
- I-5 South toward Sacramento.
- Take I-80 West toward San Francisco.
- Go 5 miles west and take Reed Avenue Exit (Exit 83).
- After you loop around on the offramp, take a right onto Reed Avenue (heading eastward!). You’ll go back under the freeway and pass an In-N-Out Burger.
- Take a ½ mile take a left on North Harbor Blvd. You have just missed North Harbor if you drive through an underpass under our tracks.
- You will drive over our railroad tracks and come to a small stop sign. Continue straight.
- You will approach the very tall I-80 Highway overpass. We are practically underneath the overpass. Take an immediate left into parking lot at Bryte Bend Water Treatment Plant.
- After 30 yards, turn right into the parking lot.
From the West (San Francisco Bay Area, Davis, Vacaville, Fairfield):
- Take I-80 to West Sacramento.
- As you enter West Sacramento, get on 80 (Reno). This will happen in less than a minute after entering West Sacramento so get into the right hand lanes early.
- Go 2 miles north and take Reed Avenue Exit (exit 83).
- Take a right onto Reed Avenue. You’ll pass an In-N-Out Burger.
- After a ½ mile, take a left on Harbor Blvd. You have just missed North Harbor if you drive through an underpass under our tracks.
- You will drive over our railroad tracks and come to a small stop sign. Continue straight.
- You will approach the very tall I-80 Highway overpass. We are practically underneath the overpass. Take an immediate left into parking lot at Bryte Bend Water Treatment Plant.
- After 30 yards, turn right into the parking lot.
Woodland Boarding
Our long-standing boarding location in Woodland is at 341 Industrial Way, Woodland, CA 95776.
From North/Redding:
- I-5 south to Woodland.
- Take 113 South / Main Street exit. The exit loops around.
- At the light go straight onto Industrial Way.
- Turn into the second driveway on the right.
From Sacramento:
- I-5 north, 15 miles to Woodland.
- Take Main Street exit (Exit #537).
- Take left onto Main.
- Go under two overpasses and take your first right onto Industrial Way.
- Turn into the second driveway on the right.
From Bay Area/Davis:
- Take I-80 to Davis.
- Take 113 north, 10 minutes to Woodland.
- Take Main Street exit. Turn left onto Main.
- Go under overpass and take your first right onto Industrial Way.
- Turn into the second driveway on the right.
Woodland Boarding - Old Site
Up until 2008 we used to board a 1/4 mile down the street at E & Main Street. There is still a sign saying this is a boarding location for our train, however it is currently only used for special events.
